  • PlotTwist, formerly known as Fourplay Social, is a social app for singles. On PlotTwist, friends team up, create a joint profile, and connect with other pairs of single friends.  We turn boring first dates into fun four-person outings, double dates, group hangs, or whatever you want to call them.

  • You create your own account! Once you’re onboarded, you’ll team up with a friend so you can start connecting with other pairs of single friends.

  • A team = you + 1 friend. In order to connect with other people and start group chatting, you need to be on at least one team. Btw, if you have more than one single friend you want to use PlotTwist with, you can create as many teams as you want!

  • Yes, you can create unlimited teams on PlotTwist. Fun, right?!

  • Nope! Team up with anyone you want. For your safety, we highly recommend that you only team up with people you know in real life.

  • Use a clear photo that shows only you. That way, people can tell exactly which teammate you are.

  • Team profiles that include both friends in all four photos tend to get the most connections. Use photos that show the two of you together and give people a feel for your vibe.

  • On PlotTwist, teams connect with other teams.

    A team = you + 1 friend.

    When your team likes another, and they like yours back, it starts a group chat.

  • Nope. PlotTwist is built for team connections only.

    We’re so over boring dating app dates. Here’s the good news, though! Plenty of PlotTwist hangouts lead to 1-on-1 dates (one even led to a wedding). And we can promise you they’re better than the typical 1-on-1 with a total stranger.

  • You don’t. That’s part of the fun. PlotTwist is all about keeping things social and letting chemistry happen naturally, whether it’s romantic or platonic. This also removes the pressure that often comes with dating apps.

  • From the browse screen, tap the three dots in the top right corner and choose "Report." If you're already matched with them, open your group chat, tap the three dots in the top right corner, and select "Report."
    We take all reports seriously. Please help us keep PlotTwist safe by reporting anyone who makes you feel unsafe or uncomfortable.


    You can always submit a report by emailing support@joinplottwist.com.

  • Always show up with your teammate on PlotTwist, and do your homework on who you're chatting with.
 Red flags to watch for include:
    Inconsistent or low-quality photos, no online presence, or someone asking you to meet alone.

  • We don’t allow age changes after onboarding to help prevent catfishing. If you made a mistake, email us at support@joinplottwist.com and we’ll take care of it.

  • Names can’t be changed after onboarding for safety reasons. Just email us at support@joinplottwist.com and we’ll help you out.

  • Tap Account, then go to Account Settings, then choose Delete Account and follow the steps.

  • Your teammate will lose access to any connections and group chats you shared as a team. It’s a good idea to let them know before you delete your account.

  • After listening to our users, being our users, and keeping a pulse on the culture of singlehood, we realized that we had outgrown dating, and our name should reflect that. So we got a new one: PlotTwist!

    The change to PlotTwist reflects what we’ve learned along our journey. This app is about the unexpected outcomes that happen when you prioritize social connection over transactional first dates: the friendships you didn’t see coming, the chaotic tales that you laugh about for years, and yes, sometimes even the love you never expected.

    Being single is not just a relationship status; it’s a chapter of life, and the people you meet along the way can completely change the trajectory of your story. PlotTwist is here to connect you to those people.
